Get Your Halloween Fix! These Spooktacular Movies Are Streaming on Netflix Now

Published Wednesday, July 19th, 2017

I literally just asked my three-year old want she wanted to be for Halloween this year. Yes, it’s only July, but I am so ready for Fall and Halloween! For those of you who know me, you know this is a truly remarkable statement. I’ve never been a huge fan of Halloween, that is until my daughter came along. She loves all things Halloween – in fact, I think she likes it more than Christmas. She still carries around her pumpkin trick-or-treat bucket and dresses up in some sort of costume at least once a day.

So, in honor of celebrating Halloween in July (because why not), Netflix is streaming a bunch of kid-friendly Halloween movies and shows right now. Now, break out your inner witch and Halloween treats and make it a movie marathon weekend.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering – as of right now, she wants to be Sophia the First, but check back with me as Halloween draws nearer for her final decision, lol.

Okay, here’s the list:

Coraline

Coraline

While exploring her new home, a girl named Coraline (Dakota Fanning) discovers a secret door, behind which lies an alternate world that closely mirrors her own but, in many ways, is better. She rejoices in her discovery, until Other Mother and the rest of her parallel family try to keep her there forever. Coraline must use all her resources and bravery to make it back to her own family and life in this dark fantasy stop-motion film based on Neil Gaiman’s 2002 novel of the same name.

Hotel Transylvania 2

Hotel Transylvania 2

Now that Dracula (Adam Sandler) has opened the Hotel Transylvania's doors to humans, things are changing for the better; however, Drac is secretly worried that his half-human grandson, Dennis, isn't showing his vampire side. So, while Mavis and Johnny are away, Drac enlists his friends to help him put the boy through a "monster-in-training" boot camp. But things really get batty when Drac's cantankerous, old-school dad pays an unexpected visit.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Somewhere in between Halloween and Christmas, the film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown's beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the "real world." When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life -- he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.

Corpse Bride

Corpse Bride

Victor (Johnny Depp) and Victoria's (Emily Watson) families have arranged their marriage. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he's in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, a tree branch becomes a hand that drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily, who was murdered after eloping with her love and wants to marry Victor. Victor must get back aboveground before Victoria marries the villainous Barkis Bittern.
